However much liberals dislike facing facts, there is something seriously wrong with part of the black community in this country. Look at what has happened in New Orleans. Most of the white population got out when they could. Most of those who remained, were black, most of whom are the poorer inhabitants. The black mayor of NO, a certain Mr. Nagin, did **** all to evacuate his own people. He failed to implement the city's evacuation plan. Mayor Nagin blamed the Feds for failing to act. Now we are hearing that the Red Cross were barred from entering NO. What exactly did Mayor Nagin do to assist his people?

While on this topic, what exactly happening in the NO Police Department? Led by a black, a majority black police force, known for its corruption and inefficiency, many deserted. It seems nothing was done to maintain law and order. Nothing to prevent the robberies, rapes, arson and shootings that were occurring in the black neighborhoods. We read that violent criminals were released from prison, into the community, instead of being taken to other prisons. Thus the black community was bludgeoned by members of their own people.

Black politicians and celebrities seem to spend most of their time condemning President Bush. They justify theft. Looting is theft. They don't condemn the lawlessness of blacks, but they'll attack white politicians. Look at Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton rush in for photo ops. How much of their wealth are they donating?

National Guardsmen have been quoted as saying NO was like Baghdad, only wetter. Since when has it been normal for The National Guard to enter an American city as if were occupied by an enemy?

I've read articles where black residents of NO think evacuation is a white plot to reclaim the city. Look at the comments of that dopey rapper, that the National Guard was sent in to shoot black people. How many liberals have contradicted him? So how many blacks have been shot by Guardsmen?

Face up to it. Black politicians get off with massive incompetence. Just look at Detroit as another example. Black communities seem unable to help each other. Instead we see violence and crime. We see people demanding aid, rather than wanting to help each other. What we have seen is the anarchy of a community that cannot hold itself together, and that slips easily into savagery. The scale of it here is a reflection of the complete collapse of government in NO. This is affirmative action America. This what you get when discriminate against better qualified candidates, on the basis of race, when you try and exclude whites from serving in the police for example. This happened in NO, look what happened.

Look at the news reports on television. The majority of those going into help are white. Where are all these angry blacks when it comes to helping?

I'm sorry if you don't like this, but it is about race. The black community needs to address why they put up with politicians who exploit them, then abandon them. They need to address the high crime levels in their community. They need to stop blaming whites for their own failings. Considering the hatred aimed at the President, it is surprising that he wants to help.

Poverty and race.

Watching the disaster that has occurred in New Orleans, I could not but notice the division there is in America, between whites and blacks. New Orleans, a city of whom appromimately two thirds are black, has a black mayor, a black police chief, and a vast underclass of poor black people. A third of its population live under the poverty line. It has a reputation of high crime, and of massive corruption.

What was noticeable was that the majority of people who should have fled the city, but didn't, were black. That the majority of looters, were black. That the people shooting at the police, were black. The rescuers, those putting their lives on the line for others, were white. New Orleans Police Department, a force that does its best not to recruit whites, had a third of its officers desert. Some reports say that it was two thirds. Many of the looters were black police officers. It would be reasonable to assume that most officers who walked out on the city were black.

Don't get me wrong, just because I don't like Kanye West, or any of his racist outpouring, doesn't mean I don't like black people. I've met many good people who were black, been to college with many good black people, been taught by several good black professors. Besides, I've never heard of this West guy anyway.

My opinion of Kanye West, of Mayor Nagin and others, is of a people who cannot accept responsibility. A people who take welfare, without making any great attempt to improve their lives. Of a people who seem to turn to violence rather than self help, a people who turn on each other , rather than helping each other. Seeing reports of Biloxi, it seems that the white population there helped each other, and prevented the looting and crime that occurred in New Orleans.

Getting back to Mayor Nagin. How come this guy did so little to help his own people? Why didn't he use those school buses to get people out? Why didn't he evacuate the city as his emergency plan was supposed to? Why does he blame President Bush for the failings of his own administration, and his own Police Department?

I think it has to be said, as Bill Cosby has, that poor blacks have to honor their end of the deal. Instead of being the perennial victim, blacks should wake up and realize that they have created the ghettos. By working hard, and working together, they can share in the opportunities that America offers. By doing so, they can eliminate the ghettos. Blacks need to stop blaming the white man for everything and accept the responsibility for their lives, and that of the community.

The reason for my absence was the short illness, then death, of my father. It gutted me, and I've struggled to be interested in writing. I'm ready to move on with life, and here goes with blogging.

English Only, Please.

Did anyone see that report on Lou Dobbs Tonight, regarding attempts to make English the official language of the USA?

The report showed part of Chicago, where mostly Mexicans have made their home. Making themselves at home is taken a little too far, as most speak little or no English, and have no need to. All the shops, businesses and government agencies speak Spanish. There is no need to learn or speak English in these ghettos. Obviously if you go out of your way to accommodate Mexicans, they won't want to learn English, which is the language of the United States. It is interesting to see the Mexican activists calling English speakers racist, for trying to impose the English language on everyone.

We are not the racists, you are. This is an English speaking country, this is our home, and we like it the way it is. If you invite yourself into this country, you should learn our language, and try and assimilate into American society. You have no right to insist on anything, no more than we have in your country. You show us no respect when you expect to turn America into a replica of the countries you left.

You made a choice to come here, we didn't beg you to come. If you do not want to speak English, you obviously have no wish to be American, nor be the same as us, for you must hold us in contempt. You seem to want the benefits of being in America, without wanting any of the responsibilities.

Dumb in Denver

How's this for the benefits of Mexican immigration into America. Denver Public Libraries are pulling 6000 Mexican "comic books" from the shelves, and are considering a review of 2.5 million books, CD's and videos. The comic books or "novellas" are photo stories that are usually with a high sexual content, often depicting rape. They are written, if that is the word, for the semi-literate folks south of the border, and kindly imported into public libraries for the benefit of mostly illegal Mexicans.

However, it seems that the compassionate librarians are finding objectionable material in English too. Hence the possibility of having to review all the materials that have been purchased.

Should Denver be buying so many books in Spanish, which benefit the minority of people in Denver who do not want to learn English?
Should Denver not be buying books that educate and enrich the lives of it's residents, rather than tacky pornographic material?

Has any librarian been reading the books they are putting on the shelves? Obviously they have no shame.

Little blue flags

I've noticed that a blue flag has appeared on the Blogger Navbar. According to Blogger, this is to identify illegal and objectionable content in blogs. It looks more like a form of censorship, it depends on how it is enforced.

My opinion is that within reason, freedom to blog is important as freedom of speech. No-one has to read any blog, especially if they find it distasteful. No-one has a right to go through life without being insulted, and I hope this is not an attempt to curtail controversial opinions.

The Odd Rantings of the Left

Driving home tonight, listing to an AM talk radio station, a "progressive' one at that. On comes a gentleman who compares President Bush to Hitler. This is a listener not the host by the way. Now I don't like Bush very much. Actually I can't stand the guy, but I wouldn't call him, Dick Cheney, or Karl Rove, Nazis.

The Republicans were compared to Hitler's Brownshirts. Do the Republicans march down the streets beating up any Democrat they find? Do they set fire to Jewish businesses? Has Bush invaded Canada on the pretext of unifying English-speakers in North America? Actually he seems to be encouraging Mexico to invade us.

Have the Republicans burned down Congress and blamed it on liberals? Have they suppressed all democratic functions? Is America secretly arming? No, that's China. Have the Republicans seized control of newspapers and TV stations? No, most seem to be in Democrat-land.

I really do not see any comparison with Nazi Germany. It is an insult to the President to slur him as a Nazi. The Nazi's were evil personified, Bush is not evil, foolish maybe, evil no.

I am sure most Americans would ridicule anyone who said that Bush & Co. are Nazis. So why do liberals make these ridiculous comparisons? Perhaps they have run out of political ideas, and all that is left is the ability to hurl abuse.

Time For Change

It's time for a change here at Shipwrecks. An experimental new name, and hopefully I'll be adding a new look.

After three months of blogging, I've decided that the original title of Shipwrecks does not reflect what the blog has become. When I started, the title reflected the idea that the western nations were like ships, wrecked on the rocks of political correctness and multi-culturalism. However, I do not think the blog has kept to that idea, instead it has become a comment on anything that interests me that day.

So, I'm trying the name of the Columbus Summit as an experiment. If I like it after a few weeks, I can consider taking this blog in a slightly different direction. It's fun writing this blog, even if not many people read it!. It lets me express my opinion, humble as it might be. Incorrect as it might be. At least this blog does not engage at hurling insults at other bloggers.

I'll continue to put my point of view, and readers are welcome to comment on, correct or reject my opinion. The new title is named after Columbus, Ohio, where I live, and the "Summit" is a bad pun on bad slang - it is because I have "summit" I want to comment on.

It's a Mad, Mad World

One of my favorite columnists is Mark Steyn. I was re-reading an article he wrote two weeks ago, and it made me stop and think. Should I still be surprised at the events that have occurred recently. The answer is yes, I am surprised. Just as I am surprised when some moron cuts me up on the I-270. I know it could happen, but when it does, I'm not ready for it. So, to the Islamic terrorism in England. We all knew that eventually terrorists would strike Britain, it being a matter of when and where. When the bombings occurred last month, I was shocked, rather than just surprised.

I was shocked that this happened on the London Underground. Anyone who has traveled on it, or for that matter, the New York subway, would never expect that someone would detonate a bomb whilst traveling on it. Who would be so sick and perverted to do that? I was shocked that the people who committed this atrocity, were born and raised in Britain. Britain does have it's social ills, but what makes anyone who has grown up in a civilized society turn to random mass murder?

Who could expect that people from countries that Britain has few ties to, would be permitted to enter the country, be given public housing, and be given welfare benefits? Who would expect that these people would openly espouse violence and hatred, whilst receiving hand-outs from the British taxpayer?

I was surprised that naturalized Britons would want to attack the country that has provided them with sanctuary. I am still surprised that foreign Imans can preach intolerance, quite openly, and not be deported. I am surprised at the ease with which foreigners can enter a country like Britain, take whatever welfare that is on offer, and cause havoc. Without any fear of prosecution it seems.

I am surprised that foreigners seem to have more rights that citizens. I am surprised because it is happening here. I am surprised because it makes no sense. Why do our governments care more about non-citizens, than those who are? Why don't we get a say on whether we want our way of life disturbed by people who despise us?

It's a mad, mad world, and I'm surprised how mad it is.

Going, Gaza, Gone

"A Jew shouldn't expel a Jew", this was the chanting of a Jewish crowd protesting at the forced expulsion of Jewish settlers from the Gaza strip, an area of Palestinian land occupied by Israel since the 1967 war.

There are twenty one Jewish settlements in this region, and one by one, the Israeli army is forcing it's own people to abandon homes and businesses, and return the land to the dispossessed Palestinians. Some are simply walking out of the homes they built in this inhospitable landscape, others are destroying the roofs of their houses, or uprooting every plant they find, so that nothing of any use is left.

This is a political decision by Israel's government, to cede conquered territory back to a people who are still fighting for their homeland. A people who are still fighting a people they consider invaders. The Palestinians, to judge by the actions of the more militant part of their people, will be happy only when there are no more Jews in this part of the Middle East. It is the sad reality that two peoples covet the same piece of land.

Right or wrong, the state of Israel exists, and it and it's people have a right to a homeland, and a right to live in peace. Ever since it's creation in 1948, Israel has been threatened by the Arab population within and without it's borders. Some Arab nations still do not recognize the Jewish state, and wish it's destruction.

As a result of the wars that Israel has been forced into, and despite being a small nation, Israel was able to conquer surrounding lands, and enlarge the country. It is normally accepted that the right of conquest is a de facto state of affairs. Nobody for example, suggests that Russia should be forced to hand over lands it took by force in the Second World War. But Israel wants to be at peace, and it is willing to make concessions to achieve that aim. It is handing back a lot of the land it took, and returning it to the Palestinians.

The trouble is, that previous governments encouraged the settlement of the captured territories. Now the current bunch of politicians, want to evict the settlers. They are quite happy to destroy the communities that were created in the wilderness. It is the people who suffer, not the politicians in Jerusalem. So they have become expendable, and the Israeli army is turned upon the people it is supposed to defend.

Whether this will buy Israel peace or not, is something I can write about another day. My sympathies lie with the settlers who have tried to create a western civilization out of nothing. I try to have sympathy with the Palestinians, but they appear to be too full of hatred for Jews, to be deserving of much. I'm not saying the Israelis are perfect, nor denying they took land that others inhabited. That is typical of history, wars come and go, borders change, civilizations rise and fall. My gut feeling is that this a withdrawal of a superior civilization, and a betrayal of the people of Israel.

For all those woolly headed liberals out there, this one is for you. Are you too stupid to see what is happening to America? Do you not see all the signs that are in Spanish, as well as English? Hint: visit Sears, Home Depot, or Lowes. When you phone customer service why do you get "press one for English"? Why does your local ATM have instructions in English and Spanish? Why do hospitals have signs in both languages? Did you, as an American, ask for this? Do you really want to make this country a dual language country? Are you fluent in Spanish, my liberal friends? Do you like watching Spanish TV channels? Do you listen to Spanish radio stations? Do you like it even more when it replaces your favorite English language station?

How about all those newspaper articles, where Miguel describes the event in Spanish, or Juan speaks through an interpreter. Have you noticed the number of baseball players that cannot be bothered to speak our language? Maybe in Cuba or the Dominican Republic they don't need to speak English, but they are not there, they are here, and we speak English.

What you may not realize, is that this country has allowed a vast number of Spanish speakers to live here, legally, and illegally. Most do not speak English, or speak it poorly. To accommodate this influx, we have to adapt to using their language. That's right, we are adapting. We pay for putting signs up in Spanish, we pay for translators, we pay for Spanish speaking customer service. It does not benefit us as English speakers does it? Remember this is an English speaking country. Immigrants are welcomed here, but it is not for us to be assimilated into their language or culture. They should learn English. They must learn English. It is utter stupidity for us to pamper a minority that has no wish to become American.

How far would you get in Mexico without speaking Spanish? Not far outside the tourist resorts, and the Mexicans aren't going to go out of their way to accommodate your love of English. It's their country anyway, so they can do as they please. So what's wrong with this country encouraging immigrants to speak our language, and not accommodating their languages? They come of their own free will, if they don't realize we speak another language here, then they are dumber than dumb.

What we have developing is not a bi-lingual minority, it is a mono-lingual minority. To communicate with them, we must speak Spanish. No big deal say our liberal friends. But is it fair for us to learn and speak a foreign language, and Spanish is foreign in the majority of States, when these foreigners make little attempt to learn and speak English. Fair's fair.

Now it's not as if we go out of our way to cater to other immigrant languages, Spanish has played winner takes all. If you are still with me, maybe you might realize one big thing: Spanish is not going to fade away. It is getting stronger, as the Hispanic community becomes larger and larger. The larger the Hispanic community is, the more arrogant it will become in demanding the side by side use of Spanish and English. Everything will have to be translated, just for their benefit, not yours. Maybe it will go further than that. Maybe in the near future some cities as they become majority Hispanic, they will cease to use English at all. Now wouldn't that be nice.

Death of the White Male

You know how it is. You read an article online, you get curious and delve deeper, and you find yourself miles from home, without enough money for your cab fare.

I was reading an article in the NYT, about an abandoned subway system in Rochester, NY. It seems like the city wants to fill in a tunnel, because of the costs involved in maintaining it as a tunnel. Apparently the subway system was closed in 1956, at a time when car ownership was depleting the subway of its farepayers. So I thought, what do I know of Rochester? It's the home of Eastman Kodak, the camera and film manufacturer. That's it. Never been there, or thought of going there. Maybe it is a nice place. So I looked up Rochester in google, and looked at two websites Visit Rochester, and the Official Rochester Website. Both were interesting. I read of the native Americans that lived in the area. I read of Susan B. Anthony, the votes for women campaigner, and I read of Frederick Douglas, the black civil rights activist. They mentioned the underground railroad that helped former slaves escape to Canada. I read of the industries that Rochester had, what had made it a wealthy city. No where did I find any information on the people who created the wealth, who built the industries. In other words, white males. It appears they have been erased from Rochester's history.

Now, I do not want to knock the achievements of Anthony and Douglas. But they didn't make Rochester what it was - a prosperous industrial city. They didn't create wealth, or employ thousands of workers. No, that was what the white male did. So they celebrate social activists, and forget the real heroes of Rochester, those who were creative and industrious.

Rochester is in decline, industries have closed. No doubt it is Democrat run, no doubt it has high crime and high taxes. No doubt white males are not involved in running their city as they once were, and certainly they won't be involved in the high crime figures.

Gimme Shelter

The Rolling Stones, as non-controversial as ever, have offended some Americans, with the lyrics of a new song, entitled "Sweet Neocon". Most of us thought that Mick and friends were safely locked up in the Old Folks Home, but no, they are touring North America, yet again.

I was under the impression this was just a piece of Bush-bashing, but it appears that this isn't necessarily the case, but rather an attack on the circus of advisers that Bush surrounds himself with. The neoconservatives.

The song goes:
"You call yourself a Christian, I call you a hypocrite. You call yourself a patriot. Well I think you are full of shit.... How come you are so wrong, my sweet neocon?"

Well my opinion of neoconservatives, is that they are aggressive imperialists who have involved the US in unnecessary foreign wars, that they are unable to admit they are ever wrong, and are generally opposed to the republican ideal of less government. The neocons cannot see what is obvious: that their policy of imposing democracy in Iraq is not working, that the insurgency is not defeated, and that when we do leave Iraq, it is likely to have a form of Islamic government similar to it's neighbor, Iran. They can call themselves Christian, they can call themselves patriots, but their policies are not Christian, nor in the interests of America.

The Death of Peter Jennings

Rest in peace, Peter Jennings. I'm sure you family and friends, colleagues and viewers miss you greatly. You were taken too early in life.

However, I am puzzled by the great importance attached to your passing by the mass media. Were you not just a news anchorman? I'm sure you were a capable journalist, but certainly not a world leader. Certainly not anyone who changed the world, for better or worse.

It seems a grotesque indulgence for the media to consider one of their own to be so important. I do not want to make any comments about the deceased's capabilities. I will not criticize him or praise him. I just think he wasn't important, and had no real influence on the people of America, let alone any influence on events in America.

Whatever kind of man Peter Jennings was, he does not merit all the attention given to his demise. Journalism is about reporting on events, commenting on them, explaining them to the public. The journalist shouldn't be the news himself.

I know it is a tribute to a colleague and rival, and that everyone wants to say a final goodbye, but this seems such an introverted view of the world.

Republic or Democracy?

I was reading an article today, where it was mentioned that we are living in a Republic, not a Democracy. Of course, when I want to re-read the article, I can't find it again. It did get my mind whirling. I am not an expert in political science, merely an amateur enthusiast, so some of my conclusions could be wrong!

If we are not a democracy, is this why the Democrats appear to be fish out of water? Maybe they are in the wrong country?

According to the Wikipedia, Republicanism is the view that the republic is the best form of government. So far so good. It says a republic is a country in which sovereignty is invested in the people. Which means we are the opposite of a monarchy. With Bush I and II, it looks more like an elected monarchy than a republic. Certainly King Bush II's disdain for the will of the people over free trade and immigration certainly seems to enforce that opinion. Long, long time ago, people fought a war to free themselves from such a king. I think his name was George, too.

Wikipedia goes on to say that a republic has a system of law (as in a constitution or bill of rights), that protects the individual from the forces of democracy with elected representatives governing according to such law. So the constitution is supposed to protect us from the Democrats? Interesting. However it would be nice if our elected representatives actually governed according to the law. Where immigration is concerned, it seems that the law is conveniently ignored, if not flouted. I am sure other topics are the same.

Republicanism, according to Wikipedia can refer to the ideologies of political parties that are named the "Republican Party". For most parties, Republican is just a name.... well that seems to sum up Bush's Republican Party, just a name, no values, no republican ideology.

Interestingly the word republic comes from the Latin res publica. Wikipedia says that one meaning of the term began with the overthrow of a tyrant in Ancient Rome.... I somehow get the impression that Bush is trying to overthrow our republic to create an empire.

apparently political scientists define a republic as the rule by many, and by law. It strikes me that Presidents are assuming the powers of a King, especially in the way they try and overrule the will of Congress. We have a President who openly bullies elected representatives.

Finally, we have the Supreme Court. The court has a political will all of it's own. Not only does it seek to overrule the laws of elected representatives, it has decided to create it's own law, based on it's own interpretation of the constitution. Laws passed by Congress are debated, and voted on. The Supreme Court is not elected. It consists of political appointees made by Presidents, past and present. It interferes in the rule of state, and federal government, without accountability.

So, at the end of the day, I'm not sure that we are in a republic, unless we accept that a republic is any form of elected government that is not a monarchy. Which means if the term republic is so vague, so the term democracy is as well. So what then, is the real difference, as it applies to the real United States?

Black & White & Read All Over

An interesting article from the Associated Press, an interview with NY Yankees player, Gary Sheffield. Mr. Sheffield took time out from playing baseball to verbally attack his teammates, and white journalists.

Even though the statistics don't agree, young Gary thinks he is the Yankees' most valuable player, not Derek Jeter, not Alex Rodriguez, and of course not Jason Giambi. The reason why he is the only one thinking so, is because the media concentrates on Jeter & Rodriguez! It seems that the media is biased against him.

According to Sheffield "it happens because you're white and I'm black. My interpretation of things is different. You don't see it the way I see it. You write how you understand it, how you articulate it, not as how I, as a black man, would articulate it."

I've not heard an interview with Mrs. Sheffield's little boy, so I don't know how he "articulates" the English language. I would say it is damn racist to say a journalist's opinion is wrong, because the journalist is white, and the subject is black.

Personally I would describe Sheffield as an arrogant, loud-mouthed bigot, but then as I'm white, I'm bound to say that. I'm bound to be wrong. In any case, I'm not even a journalist!

Liberalism and Refugees

News from Britain. Prime Minister Blair is talking tough about refugees who abuse the sanctuary that Britain offers. Blair is considering deporting so called radicals who participate in extremist political acts, such as we have seen with Islamic fundamentalists.

What Blair proposes to do is deport those that engage in or support terrorist acts, and presumably restrict entry to new refugees on the same basis. Blair proposes amending the Human Rights Act, which is Britain's link to the European Convention on Human Rights. At present it is difficult to deport aliens back to their home countries, if the courts believe there is a chance of torture, or other serious maltreatment of the deportee. London has become known as Londonistan, due to the large numbers of North African, and Middle East refugees that have taken up residence.

It seems to me that we have a massive clash of culture here. The British authorities assume that people calling themselves refugees are honest, innocent people, whose only crime is being opposed to the despotic regime in their homelands, or those victimized because they are the wrong race or religion. It doesn't occur to them that they are very likely liars. Here I would like to ignore those that are just economic migrants. Sanctuary for those who participate in terror in another country is wrong. Sanctuary for those that continue a violent struggle is also wrong. The law assumes that refugees are like the Jewish refugees of the 19th and 20th centuries. That they are innocents.

What we have with Islamicists is very different. They are more devious and more violent than any other terrorist body. They are from many countries. Their targets are in many countries. They seek to exploit the weakness of western civilization: liberalism. This the root of the problem. Liberalism assumes that people are innocent. It wants to treat terrorism as it would a bank robbery. The trouble is that terrorism is a war, not a civil crime. In a war, liberty has to be curtailed, for the common good. Firm actions have to be taken against those who mean us harm. They have to be be rooted out. No country needs foreign terrorists to be able to live without fear of arrest or deportation.

Allowing our enemies to live amongst us, is the greatest folly of liberalism.

14 Dead From Ohio

Remember the Neil Young song, "Ohio", about the student demo at Kent State? Remember that line "four dead in Ohio"?

Today we have the sad news that 14 Marine reservists from the 3rd Battalion of the 25th Marines, were killed in a terrorist attack in Iraq. They will not be remembered in a Neil Young song, although their deaths are just as tragic. To date, the 3rd Battalion has lost almost 50 Marines to the war in Iraq. It is unlikely that any will have a song written about their sacrifice.

In memory of the loss of these brave Marines from Ohio, I will not debate their deaths, or the pros and cons of the war. As a mark of respect, this is my only post today, although there are many topics to write on.

My thoughts are with the families, and friends, of those that have left us.

National Identity

What makes a nation is its people. Those people normally share a common identity that gives the country an individual identity. Strange, and somewhat contradictory. The shared identity is usually made up of language, religion and race, even if the race isn't pure. Is a Frenchman from Alsace any less French if his ancestors were German? Generally speaking European nations have assimilated countless migrations and invasions of foreign peoples. The key point being that they were able to assimilate into the host nation over a period of time.

Getting back to France, at one time much of France was invaded by Vikings. The Vikings settled, and although they ruled their new country, they gradually adopted French as their language. Over time they were absorbed into the French nation. Of course, the assimilation is simple when everyone is of the same overall race, in this case Caucasian.

As a nation matures, its language and culture become more entwined with a national character, this what makes nations different from each other. America and Canada are similar countries, having origins in European colonialism, but each country is proud of how different they are from each other. The shared roots, and shared experiences are what make these nations strong.

America despite having had mass immigration from almost all European countries, has made integration succeed, a common identity was created that is stronger than many. Nations have fought for survival so that their identity is preserved. The Red Army fought to protect Mother Russia, without any thought that they were defending a brutal dictatorship under Stalin. Freedom and liberty are not always the reason people will defend themselves.

So why have the white, western nations decided to abandon everything that they are? What was the point of Britain fighting Hitler, when it welcomes an invasion of Muslims? Britain, France, America, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and others, have decided that being white nations is not the "in" thing. So the borders that they protected for so long are thrown open to the peoples of Latin America, Africa, and Asia. The elites that decided this, never consult the governed. Instead we are told that diversity is good, and that if we object, then we are bad, bad racists.

So let us look at what has happened. Large areas of towns and cities become overrun with people who are not assimilating. They bring different languages, cultures and religions. Not only do they not wish to give up any of this, our elites encourage them to be different. The result is an underclass of people who share little with the majority population. From what has happened in Holland and elsewhere, there is a growing bitterness towards the host people. The odd thing is that if immigrants are so unhappy with western society, they could go home. They prefer however to try and change us. They organize, and try and gain influence, making us give concessions over religious and culture. Muslims have tried to get Sharia law introduced into Canada, as if one law for all is not enough.

It is almost mass suicide how western nations have allowed third world immigration to get out of control. We are flooded with people who do not share our ideas. People who prefer to maintain a loyalty to the country of origin, and stick to the cultural systems they sprang from. They come from nations that seldom permit immigration, and certainly would not tolerate the ingratitude we are shown. Much of the migration is purely about money. Of course wages are higher, but it is the social welfare that attracts much of the poor from the third world.

The liberal elite likes to praise how well immigrants do. In reality few immigrants do that well. Most are unskilled, uneducated laborers. Many struggle to speak the language of the country they reside in. Their opportunities are limited to start with. Because of this many will turn to crime, if they weren't already criminals at home. Just look at the high crime rates in American cities caused by immigrant gangs from Central America, and Mexico. A high proportion of federal prisoners are aliens.

So, the big, big question is: if we have to share our nations with others, what exactly do they share with us?

Day Laborer Shelters

An article by Christina Bellantoni in the Washington Times, caught my eye. The invasion of America by illegal aliens continues as it spreads from city to city. Now, local authorities are helping illegals get work, by building facilities for them where they can meet willing employers.

Let us consider this. People who are in this country illegally, are criminals. They have no right to be here. They have no right to work here. People who assist them in staying here, are criminals. So are the employers who hire them. Employers know they are hiring illegals, that's why they pay them less than Americans. That's why they pay them in cash, and don't put them through the books. By the way, why isn't the IRS targeting this tax evasion?

We have a massive evasion of Immigration law here. Illegal workers are criminals, they break our laws. Most do not pay income tax - those that do generally are not paying much. Judging by the amount of money sent home to Mexico and elsewhere, they are not spending much, therefore paying little in sales tax. So they get the benefits of being here without actually contributing to it. Of course, the aliens bring crime with them too.

It is time to enforce the Immigration laws. It is time to close the Mexican border. It is time to deport those aliens who chose not to obey our laws. It is time to silence the politicians who are turning this country into a Spanish speaking nation. It is time for Americans to take back their country.

London Shooting - Were We Told The Truth?

According to The Scotsman newspaper, new facts are coming out concerning the tragic shooting of Brazilian, Jean Charles de Menezes, and what exactly the shoot to kill policy entails.

The first piece of information, if that is the correct word, is that de Menezes, may not have jumped the ticket barrier at Stockwell Street subway station, as was earlier claimed. Relatives living in London, also claim that de Menezes was not wearing a thick winter coat, that police claimed could have concealed a bomb. The relatives claim he was wearing a denim jacket, not the padded fleece jacket as the police have stated.

Information has been released suggesting that police were ordered not to challenge terrorist suspects, nor identify themselves as police officers. Which means that the Brazilian might not have known who was chasing him, and that he might not have had any chance to surrender. Police Commissioner Ian Blair has claimed all along that de Menezes failed to comply with police orders after they challenged him in the subway station. The police officers in question were not in uniform, no witnesses have stated that they heard the word "police" shouted.

Regarding the ticket barrier, police now say that de Menezes used a valid weekly ticket, the guy jumping the barrier, may have been a police officer instead. Why he ran, why he was described as looking scared, is one question we may never know. Perhaps surveillance tapes may clear this up. A question that has been brought up is why de Menezes was shot, when West Midlands Police successfully arrested a terrorist suspect on Wednesday, with a Taser stun gun. But that questions the operating policies of the Metropolitan Police. De Menezes would still be alive if the police had used a Taser.

I get the impression that Sir Ian Blair is not held in any great esteem by the British press. While it is important that the police needs to take no chances in dealing with terrorists, it also needs solid, sensible leadership.

Cops & Robers

The title isn't a spelling mistake, it is much worse: a bad pun.

The Toledo Blade has a very disturbing story of how the Toledo Police Department conspired with Catholic Priests (hence the pun), to cover up sexual-abuse charges against the Catholic Church. I am not attacking the Catholic Church as a whole. Just the individuals who think they are above the law. The same goes for the Toledo Police. What the main issue for me is the betrayal of trust by people in both organizations.

The public puts a lot of faith in the Church, we expect priests to be men of God, somehow we expect them to be closer to God than we are. It turns my stomach to think that a priest could rape and molest boys. But that is what the Rev. Dennis Gray did to more than a dozen boys. Gray's superiors were aware of this, and asked a Toledo detective for advice. The advice given was to keep Gray away from boys. The detective did not file a report, nor did he begin any investigation into Gray. I would say this was a dereliction of duty by the detective. As a result Gray was allowed to resign the priesthood with no criminal record to his name. Gray went on to become a probation officer, and a public school administrator, where he continued to have access to young boys.

The Blade's investigations went back 50 years, revealing how the police co-operated with the Church in concealing sex crimes, allowing priests to be shuffled from parish to parish, rather than spending time behind bars. In some cases police officers refused to arrest priests suspected of abuse. One police chief put pressure on subordinates not to investigate accusations against the priesthood. It goes much deeper. Judges, social workers all helped cover up, or treat leniently, priests who were guilty of sexual molestation.

Both the Catholic Church and the Toledo Police should be ashamed for their roles in this shameful affair. It would appear that the church knew which police officers were "loyal" church members. They knew who to contact. It seems a Mafia-style corruption, but obviously the Church made no financial contributions to individual officers. A morally corrupt church, morally corrupted the city's police force.

CAFTA: DAFTA THAN NAFTA

I haven't read the CAFTA agreement, I doubt if many of our elected politicians have either. From the discussions that I have followed, I do not believe that it is in the interests of America. Nor was NAFTA.

American opinion seems to have been against ratification, but Bush never lets the will of the people interfere with one of his crazy schemes. He becomes more like mad King George every day, as he sells working Americans out to the interests of corporate America. Not just corporate America, but to foreign owned corporations that do business here. All will benefit at our expense.

The way MKG, as I will call our leader, pushed the trade through the House by two votes, is not a nice story. A late night vote, arm-twisting, "bribery", all were used to get this deed done. Representatives that had gone on record as opposing CAFTA, changed their minds, and betrayed their electorate. Let's hope the electorate votes these guys out at the first opportunity.

Why the big fuss over getting this pact passed? It seems that the combined economies of these Central American countries isn't large. So large in fact, to be insignificant to the US economy.
Businesses back it, but unless they intend to outsource production there, it is hard to see how many actually benefit. These are poor, low wage economies that are unlikely to afford much of what little America still exports.

The big question is how much this is going to cost us taxpayers? No doubt that MKG has promised this and that road scheme, or whatever it takes to get a yes vote. So we pay for something we didn't want in the first place. Isn't democracy wonderful?

Justice & Politicians

As if my loathing of politicians couldn't get any worse. Britain's Secretary of State, Peter Hain, has caused me to reach for a large brown paper bag.

Reading Hain defending his decision to release convicted IRA murderer, Sean Killer, oops I mean Sean Kelly, was particularly nauseating. A blatant piece of political opportunism to reward the IRA for its supposed abandonment of violence. What has been abandoned is justice, Justice for the victims of cowardly IRA murders. In 1993, Kelly was one of two terrorists that left a bomb in a Belfast fish shop that killed 9 people. For his part in this atrocity, Kelly was given 9 life sentences, bit was released in 2000, as part of an appeasement to the IRA, in the Good Friday Agreement. Certainly it was a good Friday for Kelly and other IRA thugs. & years isn't much of one life sentence.

Incredibly, or should I say predictably, Kelly was involved in further terrorism, and his parole was overturned, resulting in Kelly being re-arrested. Hain has now reversed this and allowed a convicted murderer to be released.

Lies, Damn Lies & Politicians

We are now aware that the terrorist suspect shot dead in London last week, was an innocent Brazilian by the name of Jean Charles de Menezes. The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. Police followed him from his apartment, where they had some other guys under surveillance. The police allowed him to board a bus, that carried de Menezes to a subway station. Here the young Brazilian seems to have panicked, jumping the turnstile in the process. Witnesses describe that de Menezes' face was full of fear as he boarded the train, some have described his death as an assassination. We are still waiting for the truth to come out.

Assuming that de Menezes was no way involved in terrorism, the police seem to have over-reacted to the threat to Londoners he posed. I am not going to sit in judgment over the police. They have a job to do to secure our safety, mistakes happen.

What does interest me, are the statements released by the British government. Brazilians working in London should not be common, it is supposed to be hard for Brazilians to get a British work permit. More likely he was there illegally, probably on an expired tourist or student visa. Government sources (leaked or official) seemed to back this up. De Menezes seems to have family in Britain, perhaps their status is questionable too, but they stated that their relative was in Britain legally. Maybe they believed that. Soon afterwards British Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw stated that "it was his understanding, that he (de Menezes) was here lawfully". It now seems that the original tale was closer. De Menezes arrived in Britain in March 2002 as a tourist. He was allowed to stay for 6 months. He applied for a student visa, which permitted him to stay till the end of June 2003. The British Home Office states that de Menezes' passport had a stamp giving him indefinite leave to stay in Britain. Only one problem. It wasn't a legitimate Home Office stamp.

So what?, you might ask. What exactly is going on when a Minister of the Crown gives inaccurate information? The security services seem to know a bit more, and knew it earlier. So was this Brazilian actually under surveillance himself? It is stated by government sources that de Menezes was an electrician. So he was going to work, late in the morning and without a toolbag? Could he be an electrician without passing any British certification?

What scares me, and this what makes politicians lying devious so and so's, is that if a simple Brazilian can enter the country, get a student visa - without attending a school - then the visa expires, and he manages to get work, and a place to live for three years, without any hindrance, then a determined terrorist would have no problem.

This shows the arrogance of politicians. They claim to have immigration under control, when they don't. They claim to have terrorism under control, and the bombs explode. It is clear that foreign nationals are able to enter Britain, and America, and do basically whatever they want, with little fear of detection. Visas are issued without even basic checks, when they expire nothing is done to see if the holder has left the country, or where he is now.

Politicians like to assure us that everything is under their control, that it can't happen again. Don't believe them. Don't believe their lies. Don't vote for them - it just encourages them.

Islamic Reaction

This blog was never intended as an Islam-bashing journal. World events have forced this upon me. Well, I don't mean a bearded, gun toting terrorist has made me write about the jihad. It is the enormous realization, that a people and a religion, really do want a holy war against us.

Maybe I am too hard in my comments about the Islamic communities in America, Britain, the Netherlands and elsewhere. Probably most do want to get on with their lives in a peaceful manner, without hatred for those of other faiths. The problem is that a small part of them has committed acts of barbarity, that we thought were part of the Middle East, not east London.

The question is how many support the acts, or sympathize with the terrorists? How many condemn the bombings, but not the cause? The even bigger question is how many disbelieve that Muslims committed the bombings, and believe this is all part of a western attack on Islam?

Take Mohammed Naseem, a senior Islamic cleric in Birmingham, England. According to the DailyTelegraph, Mr. Naseem believes that Muslims are being unjustly blamed in the war on terror. He disputes that the guys in the police pictures are terrorists (they are terrorist suspects Mohammed). He has called Prime Minister Blair a "liar", and an "unreliable witness".
Perhaps Mohammed's politics are conservative? Now sit down and listen to this. He claims that "millions (of Muslims) all over the world, have never heard of an organization called al-Qa'eda." Maybe those are the ones that are blind and deaf. Or maybe it is just the spelling that causes confusion, and blank looks?

Mr. Naseem is condsidered a moderate cleric, but his comments seem to be a call to the Islamic community to close ranks, and withdraw from assisting the police in capturing terrorist suspects. It is hard for me to understand how Muslims cannot see that it is Muslims committing these acts of terror. What makes them feel that they are the innocent victims? What real harm have they ever faced in Britain? They stay there rather than return home, they are joined every day by other Muslims from many countries. So it seems they do not face persecution in Britain, or other European countries.

So why do some of them plot terrorist activities in Europe, and now it seems, carry out attacks in Britain? Muslims emigrate to Europe of their own free will, if they feel unwelcome they can leave. If Muslims want to stay, they need to adapt to the reality of western civilization. That it is liberal, that it is tolerant of others. They have to find a way to fit in with a society that may offend their morality. When they see something wrong in their society, they need to do something about it, not deny the undeniable.

Refugees, Immigrants & Crime

If you have read any of the Immigration websites recently, well those that aren't pro-immigration, you'll have noticed that immigrants have a much higher crime rate than those born locally, be it America, Britain, Sweden etc.

I'm not going to bore you with facts, statistics or slide shows. What I found on the London Daily Telegraph website made my eyes light up. It is concerning 27 year old Muktar Said Ibrahim, one the suicide bombers wanted by British Police after last weeks failed bombings. Here is a brief history:

Came to Britain as a refugee from Eritrea, with his family, and was allowed to stay in Britain in 1992, when he was aged 14. It appears that the family stayed in Saudi Arabia before going on to Britain. He attended school in north London. At the age of sixteen, he was arrested along with four other youths, for a street robbery (I assume they mean a mugging?). Ibrahim was sentenced to five years imprisonment , because he was caught carrying a knife. The time he served was in young offenders institutions.

In 2003 Ibrahim applied for British citizenship, which he received in 2004. Now to be naturalized, one is supposed to be of good character, and one must not have a criminal record. Makes you wonder how he obtained citizenship so easily. So someone who has been in Britain over ten years, and a citizen for one year, now decides to blow up a London bus. There's gratitude for you. Nice to see that he loves Britain so much.

To an average observer, the questions are why are so many refugees or immigrants from hostile third world countries allowed into the west, why they are not vetted more thoroughly, and why, when they have committed criminal acts, are they not deported? Governments have an obligation to protect the interests of their citizens, they have no obligation to non-citizens wishing to enter their countries. Laws should be passed to enforce deportation of criminal aliens, and to any alien that outstays his welcome. I won't even get into the argument about whether refugees are actually economic migrants.

I get tired of the liberal lawyers and courts that side with criminal aliens. We have no obligation to look after another country's bad citizens. None. What benefit is it to us to allow them to stay? So they can commit more crime?

New York v Terrorism

If it weren't so serious, I'd be laughing. New York Mayor, Mike Bloomberg had to apologize to a group of British tourists, who were handcuffed and forced to kneel on the sidewalk, on Broadway, NYC.

The five British Sikhs were forced off a tourist bus driven by a Mohammed Stout. A fellow bus worker informed the cops that these passengers looked suspicious. Well, Sikhs do look different from other people, but they don't go around blowing up buses like Muslims do. I would have thought that with a name like Mohammed, the driver would be more suspicious, but that's just me.

What is it with some Americans? A Sikh is a person of Indian origin, not Arab. Sikhs are no friends of Islam, as they suffered under the Islamic conquest of parts of India. Obviously the heavy handed cops don't know the difference.

Muslim Adventure Day

This doesn't seem to be the latest news, but it's the first time I've read about it. Apparently Six Flags, NJ are having a Muslim Adventure Day on September 16th, following up on a similar day last year. It seems while the park is reserved for Muslims, non-Muslims aren't banned. Officially, anyway. I doubt if they are welcome.

According to the MilitantIslamMonitor, the day is organized by ICNA, an Islamic movement believed to have ties to Hammas. They of course deny this. They would, wouldn't they?

Interesting, isn't it? It shows how far Islam wants to integrate into society. Practicing segregation sure isn't helpful.

Islam and Lying

Most religions I suspect, forbid lying, for it is hardly one of the best facets of mankind.

The Prophet Mohammed was quoted as saying: "Be honest, because honesty leads to goodness, and goodness leads to Paradise. Beware of falsehood, because it leads to immorality, and immorality leads to Hell"

However, Islam seems to be a little bit contradictory on the issue of lying. Mohammed is also quoted as saying that it is not wrong to lie to an enemy "for war is deception". According to the Quran, any non-Muslim land is called Dar ul Harb - a land of war.

That being so, we appear to be in a war zone, where Islam is the attacker. It seems foolish to trust any Muslim at face value, as those who might denounce the terrorism that is occurring around the world, might really sympathize with it. All's fair in love and war. The trouble is we don't realize that there is a war, or where it is, or what it is. Muslims like to tell us what we want to hear.

Islam is waging a war against all other faiths, through violence like the bombings in Britain, or through stealth, in the way it tries to establish itself in western society, talking peace to the outside world, but preaching intolerance in the Mosques. One noticeable thing about Islam, is the way that it cannot take criticism. After the London bombings, many Muslims denied that a Muslim could have committed such acts. Muslims called for peace, when they thought they could be victims of reprisal attacks. This is an interesting aspect. Muslims could not have committed acts of mass murder, but we as non-Muslims were very likely to attack them, just for being Muslim.

What seems to be apparent, is that is dangerous to trust any Muslim. What they say has to regarded with caution. Considering that we invaded Iraq to liberate the Iraqis from a tyrant, and we now face an Islamic world that regards us as aggressors, it seems hard to believe that we have many true friends there. Logic doesn't seem to be an Islamic trait.

Multi-culturalism

The London bombings has generated a lot of talk regarding multi-culturalism in Britain, and here in America.

There are differences between the two countries: America is much more able to absorb immigrants, due to it's size, and due to the fact it has traditionally welcomed immigration as a means of developing the wealth of the nation. Britain is a much smaller, overcrowded country. Traditionally it exported people rather than imported them. Immigration before WW2 was mainly taking refugees from European neighbors be they French Hugenots, or Russian Jews. America itself shut the doors in the 1920's, allowing the great mass of immigrants that had entered to assimilate into the American way of life.

It is what happened after WW2, that changes the picture. In the 50's and 60's Britain allowed citizens of its Commonwealth to migrate to its shores. They came from the West Indies, from India, from Pakistan. Of course, white immigrants from Canada, South Africa, Australia & New Zealand came too, but they assimilated with ease, and never arrived in any great numbers, besides they were usually descendants of Britons. In America, the immigration law was changed in the 60's. Instead of white immigrants from Europe, immigrants from the third world were encouraged. The politicians promised that American cities would not be flooded with new immigrants. They lied.

So what has happened to both countries? Both allowed people to enter who did not look anything like those already living there. Those migrating often did not speak English, nor did they always enter from Christian countries. We saw an ever growing number of people with radically different cultures from our own, and in significantly large numbers to overwhelm areas. Then the liberal elites that had overseen all this, went one step too far. They decided that all these new immigrants did not have to assimilate. They could retain their identities, their languages, their customs. They no longer had to be like us. As the immigrant populations grew, the liberals threw money at them, helping to create schools, community centers, and whatever was needed to keep these people happy.

All of this was intended to enable a new generation of citizen that was diverse in origin, but united in a common goal. Everyone had the same opportunities, everyone would be able to succeed. This never happened. Some have, but it is usually those that did their best to assimilate into the community. What has happened id that both countries have large populations of immigrants who are poor, who either do not speak English, or have a limited grasp of it. They neither understand western civilization, nor want to. They prefer their ways, the ways of the countries they left. Even the generation that are born here, are not of our civilization. They are caught between two cultures, and like the religous convert, they are often more extreme in their opinions. In Britain we see militant Muslims of Pakistani origin, although born in Britain, they turn against it, killing 52 people in the process. America has seen American born Muslims become members of terrorist movements. It is interesting to read the opinions of Muslim communities in the west. After each Muslim attack, they deny that Muslims could do this. They go on the defensive: it is all a western plot to attack Islam. Although they might denounce these attacks in private, there seems little will to curtail the violence, as if it isn't their community that is the problem, but the victim instead.

What seems to be an all too common occurrance, is the growth of areas where the host population is almost completely vanquished. The vast number of immigrants that inhabit such areas, make it difficult for us to feel welcome, let alone safe. These places reflect the traditions and lifestyles of the newcomers, and look less and less like than the country of our fathers. Immigration in such large numbers means it is no surprise that assimilation into the greater population fails. There is no need to. Therefore they don't.

So multi-culturalism enriches us does it? We allow people to settle here, who no longer wish to participate in common goals, who will not adopt our standards, who turn around and attack us. Who often turn our towns and cities into crime infested ghettoes. Who will not speak our language. This enriches us?

Suspected London Terrorist Shot Dead

The bad news from London continues. According to Sky News, police shot dead a suspected suicide bomber, at Stockwell subway station, in south London.

Reports are confused, apparently the suspect, a man of Asian appearance, was chased by about 10 police officers, before being shot. Some reports state that a police officer shot the suspect after he had been pushed to the ground. It is believed the London police have instituted a shoot to kill policy for anyone that is believed to be preparing to detonate a bomb. There are obvious dangers to this policy. Later reports describe the victim as having been shot at close range.

Sky reports that a bomb alert at an east London mosque, turned out to be a false alarm.

Latest update: British police have released pictures of the suspected terrorists from yesterdays attacks. It seems now that the bombs failed to detonate, the detonators themselves being the only thing that exploded. Police appear to have been able to gather evidence from the bungled bombs, as the bombs two weeks ago left few clues in their devestation. Some sources are saying that the police are building a much better picture of the operations of the terrorists, by being able to analyze the materilas used to make the bombs.

I use the term "Asian" in the same sense that the British media are using it. That is, somebody whose origin is from the Indian subcontinent. This is to try and avoid confusion.

I was reading the Guardian blog, in order to get a liberal perspective on the latest bombings in London. One guy suggested we open the doors of all our churches and mosques, to prove to each other we are not to be feared, because of cultural differences.

It isn't a bad idea in principle, but here is the root of the problem. We, as Christians aren't that interested in Islam, nor are Muslims interested in Christianity. The doors of both religions are open for all to enter, though Islam isn't user-friendly with its adherence to Arabic.

Both America and Britain are Christian countries, whether or not people are actually church goers, or even believers. Our culture and society is based on the teachings of the Bible. We have shown great tolerance to Islam, which is not the case in most countries where Islam is the majority religion. We have been flexible in our treatment of Muslims, they remain inflexible in demanding special treatments. We allow them to participate in society from commerce to politics. We allow them to criticize our countries, we don't riot, burn books, or kill because of it.

In Islam we have a religion that is intolerant of criticism. It forbids conversion to another religion. It is violent in trying to get what it wants. It allies itself to political-terrorist movements like Hammas. It tries to suppress democracy in Iran. It is not a religion as we understand it. To Muslims it is a much bigger part of their lives than Christianity is to us. It is a religion that allows itself to be dominated by people who are not men of peace, nor men of God. Like communism it likes to control the faithful. Like communism it believes the ends justifies the means. Like communism it is bent on world domination. Like communism it pretends to be something it is not.

Those who look at Islam will see that unless it reforms itself from within, Islam is not compatible with western civilization. We give them liberty, which they have used against us. In a free society it is so easy to commit terrorist acts. Islam is a great danger to us, as the London bombings show. Because of cultural differences, they have little to fear from us, but we have everything to fear from them.

Now is not the time to begin making concessions to Islam. As most western countries become more secular, it is important that no religion is given special priviliges over others. Religion is fine, but it must be a concern for the individual, rather than the nation. It is important not to let extremists of any faith become the focus of media attention. We cannot let the bigots become heroes. Politicians may encourage moderate religious leaders in their attempts to install sense into the communities, but it is divisive to allow any special recognition of various faiths. It is not for government to promote religion, but it does every time it heeds to the demands of radical clerics.

Long Island & Hispanic Immigration

Long Island newspaper, Newsday, has a few articles dealing with the rise of the Hispanic population on Long Island, NY. Normally, our socialist friends there print nice articles praising Hispanics. Today we have articles showing the reality of life, in what were white, working class neighborhoods.

The first article is about the arrest by police of 22 gang members. The Bensonhurst based chapter of the "Latin Kings" were rounded up on drugs and weapons charges. Police confiscated $1 million in drugs (cocaine, heroin & marijuana), $30,000 in cash, and numerous weapons, including an AK-47. Three of those arrested were believed to be gang leaders. Relatives of the arrested are denying the accusations.

The gang is believed to have 10 chapters on Long Island. At least no-one has far to go to join a chapter. Source.

The second article is a report on the squalor of migrants living on Long Island. Most of these are probably illegals, i.e. those people who have no right to live or work in America. Newsday doesn't dwell on the residence status of these guys. That most speak little or no English, gives you an idea.

What is happening is that landlords are illegally converting single-family homes into rooming houses for the large numbers of migrants in what is largely a suburban annex to New York City.
One house that was raided by officials had 64 men living there. Now think about this. Would you like the house next door to have 64 people in it? These houses are made unsafe by the large number of occupants, and by such things as dangerous wiring.

The authorities seem unwilling or unable to deal with the problem. Neighborhoods are being changed. Like immigration in general, we are seeing widespread flouting of the law. We are permitting housing standards that were made illegal over a hundred years ago. We have an invasion of people who ignore our law, disregard our customs, spurn our language. So this is supposed to be good for us?

Action needs to be taken. Those that give illegals work need to be fined. Not a slap on the wrist. They need to be fined a lot of money, so that it is unprofitable to try hiring illegals. Those that provide accommodation to illegals should have their property confiscated. We are seeing cases where the landlords themselves are illegals.

Another Bomb Attack in London

Breaking news: There are reports of another bomb attack on London's Underground, and on a bus in east London. According to Sky News, three subway stations have been closed, and services on four subway lines have been halted. Emergency calls started around 12.30pm London time (7.30am Eastern Time). So far there do not seem to be any casualties. It is believed the explosions were minor, but as yet the details are sketchy.

It is two weeks to the day when Islamic terrorists struck in London, killing fifty two people.

Update 12.45pm Eastern Time. It seems 4 bombs went off, one on a bus. In a maybe unrelated incident, a man of Asian appearance was arrested at gunpoint at the gates to Downing Street, the London residence of Britain's Prime Ministers. Since attempts by the IRA to assassinate Prime Minister Thatcher in the 1980's, Downing Street is closed to the public by security gates.

No casualties are yet reported. Lets hope that's how it stays.

Hillary Supports Racist Organization.

Just a little while ago, Hillary Clinton, the allegedly junior Senator for New York, was saying that something should be done about illegal immigration, which is mostly Hispanic, or rather Mexican in origin. Now we see her in her true leftist colors, in Philadelphia, PA. Not far from NY, but not in NY. Addressing the national conference of La Raza, Hillary spoke of education and healthcare for Hispanics, as well as promising legislation to help send money home - as if Hispanic immigrants don't do that as it is.

It looks like a Presidential campaign speech, rather than re-election to the Senate. This is the same person who has denied that she has any ambitions to be President. Hillary has also denied that she would walk out on NY voters to run for President. Well Hillary, actions speak louder than words.

La Raza, (Spanish for "The Race") is the largest Hispanic political organization. To call it a civil rights organization is an insult to intelligence. By its name, it is a racist organization, that believes in putting Hispanic interests ahead of Americans. It is for mass immigration, it is for illegal immigration, it is for amnesty. It believes in the slogan "For the race, everything. Outside the race, nothing." It is downright un-American.

Go Hillary, go. Pander to our enemies. We'll judge you by the company you keep.

Scotty Gets Beamed Up.

Sad news just in.

James Doohan, who played the part of Chief Engineer Scott on board the Starship Enterprise, in the original Star Trek television series, has died at the age of 85. Even though the series ended in 1969, Doohan is remembered for his character in the show, forever having the line "beam me up Scotty" associated with him. Later, Doohan appeared in the Star Trek movies that brought in another generation of viewers as "trekkies"

Canadian born Doohan was also a war hero from the D-Day landings, where he served in the Royal Canadian Artillery. Incidentally, William Shatner who played Captain Kirk in Star Trek, was also Canadian. Their shared nationality did not prevent Doohan from having a great dislike for Shatner, whom he accused of being a camera hog.

In later years, Doohan suffered bad health including a massive heart attack in 1989.

They don't make them like him anymore.

British Anti-Crime Measures Illegal!

According to The Times, Britain's child curfew laws, which aim at curtailing youth crime, have been declared illegal by Britain's High Court.

These laws seem to be aimed at targeting all young people that are regarded by the police as acting suspiciously, whether or not a crime has been committed. The idea seems to be to disperse groups of young people from hanging around street corners, shopping malls etc., that might intimidate other citizens.

My interest in this story is that Prime Minister Blair is a lawyer. So is his wife. Surely, if they are both lawyers ( and no doubt there are other lawyers in Blair's government), they would have realized that this law was wrong? Or am I expecting too much for lawyers to understand the law?

The Growth of Chinese Military Might

Looking at the growth of China's military is a bit like looking at the growth of the Wehrmacht under Hitler, both financed by a strong capitalist economy, both pushing nationalism, both seeking the re-unification of their people. In China's case it seems limited to Taiwan.

Not long ago, China did not have the capability to invade Taiwan, for example it's military technology was way behind the west, and it didn't have the ships to carry it's troops. In the last few years China has engaged in a massive upgrade of its military, so that an invasion of Taiwan could be a possibility. Helped by Russia, China is spending a lot of money to catch up on America. It is doing all this with as much secrecy as possible. We have no real idea how competent the Chinese military is.

The comparison with Nazi Germany is apparent: a massive secret arms build-up and training of its military to engage in aggressive operations. Remember that Germany never had the capability to invade Britain, but that didn't stop the Luftwaffe from trying to put Britain out of the war. An attack on Taiwan by the Chinese is more probable, the more the confident the Generals become - just look at the threat of using nuclear weapons against the US.

We should realize that China is not an ally. That we should not be buying so much from them. That American corporations that transfer production to China are traitors. That communists can never be trusted. That it is foolish to allow such a country to gain advanced technology.

If there is one thing that we should have learnt from Hitler, it is that appeasement benefits the bad guys.

Death of former British Prime Minister

Over the weekend, former Prime Minister Edward Heath died, aged 89. Elected as a Conservative Prime Minister in 1970, replacing Labour's Harold Wilson, Heath attempted to reform the powerful trade unions, but backed down under pressure. Heath was on the liberal wing of the party, unlike the woman who eventually replaced him as leader of the Conservatives, one Margaret Thatcher. Heath's only triumph was taking Britain into the EEC as it was known then. Heath was very pro Europe, having grown up during the rise of fascism in Europe, his wish being to prevent that ever happening again.

After Thatcher defeated Heath in a leadership battle, she went on to win the General Election in 1979. She adopted many of Heath's policies on trade unions, although she ruthlessly implemented them. Heath never served in her Cabinet (Thatcher had served in Heath's). He preferred to sulk for the rest of his years as a Member of Parliament, attacking her whenever he could. Heath could never be accused of being an elder statesman as a result of his jealousy of Thatcher's success.

Zimbabwe Ruins

Once upon a time there was a little country in southern Africa, called Rhodesia. In a short period of time white settlers carved a nation out of the bush, built modern towns and cities, built roads, railroads and all the trappings of civilization. The whites being hard working, created farms where there were none, and built an amazing agricultural system that exported food, tobacco and other products. It had mines, it built dams, it had industries. The whites establish a fair legal system, and a parliamentary system of government.

All was not perfect. The whites had moved into an area where black people were already living, and were more numerous than the newcomers. The whites excluded blacks from political & economic power, after all, they had created the order out of chaos. The whites prospered, and so did the blacks, as the whites shared their medicine; educated, and employed the blacks. The black population grew fast as they were now better fed and had access to healthcare.

But other nations looked on and interfered. They encouraged some of the blacks to rebel and overthrow the whites, which they attempted with all the violence they could muster. The outsiders imposed sanctions on Rhodesia, and still this little country prospered for all its people, in fact it was second only to South Africa, in terms of development. Eventually though the crowd of outsiders grew and grew, and wore down the white Rhodesians. The Rhodesians were forced to accept "majority rule", and ceded power to the blacks. Mr Mugabe became president of the new republic of Zimbabwe, and promised justice and liberty for all.

At first all was well, and Zimbabwe prospered like never before. Then Mr. Mugabe decided that some blacks were lesser than his tribe: in a rampage his army killed thousands of a rival tribe. The outsiders ignored this. Mr. Mugabe then revealed his true identity: he was not a liberal but a communist. Mugabe started to take the white owned farms that created the wealth of this nation; he sent thugs to intimidate and kill the white farmers. The land Mugabe said, would go to poor blacks, though really they went to Mugabe's friends and allies. The theft of land went on and on, till few whites were left in Zimbabwe. Mugabe as a true communist, lied and cheated. He used violence against rival political parties, he censored the press, radio and TV did his bidding. Zimbabwe's economy disintegrated, even though Mugabe said the opposite. Today even food is in short supply.

Mugabe has wrecked his country, and now appeals to his equally crazy friends, the communist ANC in South Africa, for help. Whether the ANC can afford to help is another matter, as they are applying Mugabe-economics in South Africa. Who knows if Zimbabwe can ever recover. It has removed the talent that made Zimbabwe successful.

There are some ancient ruins there, called the Zimbabwe Ruins, so the joke goes you would go to Rhodesia to see these ruins, now you go to Zimbabwe to see the Rhodesia ruins. Ruins is most of what you will see.

Immigrants & Healthcare

From today's Columbus Dispatch, an article about the increasing expenditure on healthcare due to immigration in Columbus, Ohio.

In Franklin County, where Columbus is located, 12.9% of all births in 2002 were to immigrant mothers, up from 3.9% in 1990. It is putting increasing strain on meager finances, as immigrants seldom have healthcare, and tend to have higher birth rates than Americans.

As an example, the Dispatch quotes Mexican immigrant, Feliciana Santiago, who works in a factory. Ms. Santiago speaks no English, so hospitals and maternity services have to provide interpreters for her, and her paisanos. The Dispatch doesn't offer her immigration status. I'd guess she is illegal, around 95 % of Hispanics in the city are probably illegal.

So we have people entering this region, without asking us, the taxpayers, you know the ones who actually pay for everything around here, then calmly decide to take advantage of the facilities they haven't paid for, despite the fact that most shouldn't even be here. Then we have to pay extra to provide interpreters, because these people won't learn English. But wait for it, here's the clincher: hospital staff are given "cultural training" in how deal with them.

We pay for all this, every day.

Let's get real here. Illegal aliens have no right to be here. Enforce the law. Deport them all.
Legal immigrants. What point is there letting immigrants into America, if they cannot support themselves? Where does it say on the application form that you can be a leech on society?

Why do we allow the importation of poverty? Why do we tolerate the crime some immigrants bring in? Why does our government not wake up to what most Americans can see with their own eyes?

NRA Bans Columbus, OH

2007 was the year the NRA would have held their conference in the Buckeye state, right here in Columbus. Now it will be located elsewhere. The reason? Because Columbus City Council recently placed a ban on assault rifles and certain other weapons. This ban is felt by some to be unconstitutional, and affects legal gun owners. Of course if the Council actually encouraged the Police to disarm all the illegal gun owners, if it really cracked down on the crime and violence committed in Columbus, they wouldn't need to pass more gun laws.

Listen you bonehead councilors, criminals don't obey gun laws, any more than they obey other laws. Do you really think you cut crime by passing more laws? Obviously you must. The reality is that the way to cut crime is to enforce the existing laws. Crack down on the lawlessness in minority neighborhoods, make it safe for ordinary people to live safely there.

The NRA Conference could have brought in 60,000 visitors and $15 million revenue. So thanks to the stupidity of our City, we'll miss out. Think of how many extra Police could have been hired, or how many teachers. Of course, you don't care. You never did. You want power to put your own agenda into play, whether it works or not. The security of the people was never, ever in your minds.

Unlike the NRA, I can't avoid being in Columbus.

A Few Weekend Observations

A few items in Saturday's Columbus Dispatch made me grin.

The first was an article about undercover "stings" on local stores to determine whether or not the storekeeper would sell cigarettes to minors. On kid sent out to do this was accompanied into the stores with a plain clothes cop, who was to act as an oberserver. The kid complained later that on every occasion the cop deliberately ruined the sting by making the storekeeper ask for id, inadvertently revealing his badge, or talking on a police radio, and other errors. Perhaps it wasn't explained to this cop what his job actually was, for he has been suspended for a week. I feel we have two choices, either believe this cop is really dumb, or that he is really corrupt. I'm sure we don't have corrupt police in Columbus.

The second article was one where senior Muslims were stating that the London terrorist bombings were very "un-Islamic". They should get out more often. The bombings in Madrid, Bali, Africa, Israel, Iraq were all carried out by Muslims. It looks to me to be very Islamic. Perhaps they don't watch western television, and all their information is censored, or perhaps they have the proverbial rose tinted glasses. We have a major problem with Muslims acting as suicide bombers, using Islam as their guiding reason. Let's have a little more insight from the Muslim community, so that these atrocities can be ended. On second thoughts maybe the bombings were un-Islamic, in that they killed few, if any Jews.

Jewish Racism?

Now don't get me wrong. I'm not anti-Jewish. I'm not anti-Israel. In fact I admire the Jewish people for their successes, which is due to their hard work and determination, unlike those who take the affirmative action dollar. This article in The Jewish Week, made me smile though. It would seem that at some Jewish schools in Westchester County, NY, your prom date has to be Jewish too.

Now you might wonder what business it is for a school to determine the religion of a prom date. It seems that the policy is to discourage inter-faith dating, so as to preserve the integrity of the Jewish people. These schools wish to encourage Jews to isolate themselves from other faiths as far as personal relationships are concerned, especially with the temptation to marry out of the faith.

I was wondering, now don't call me silly, but perhaps the Jewish lawyers in the ACLU, wouldn't mind if say, white schools want to segregate, to preserve their white identity? After all it's all about choice.

The funny thing though, is that those people who normally seek to maintain a racial purity for themselves, are usually called Nazis. The world is a strange place at times.

An End To Multiculturalism?

This blog was never intended to be an anti-Islam forum. Recent events in Britain have brought into focus, you might say hardened, my opinions. America, Britain together with many European countries, have been sold an idea of multi-racial, multicultural paradise. I doubt if many citizens of these countries asked for it, or wanted it. We got it whatever we thought of the idea. The liberal elites promised it would work, that it was good, and that those who opposed it were racists. Not wanting to be called bad, bad names, most of us adopted a pragmatic approach to immigration from the third world. We would treat newcomers as equals, judging them as we found them.

We were assured by our peers, that everyone was the same, race didn't matter, religion didn't matter, that everyone could get along. They told us that immigrants added their culture to ours, and we would be better for it. Everything was good in the multicultural world.

Bit by bit, we found that what we were told, wasn't true. People aren't all the same. We knew that already amongst our own - some are good, some are bad, but somehow we believed that the newcomers would be different, perhaps we thought that there was selection process, so that only the best people arrived on our shores.

Well the truth is much different. Often we get the scum, not the cream - just look at the high levels of crime committed by immigrants, and this is not in America, it happens in Britain, France, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Australia and so on. Please do not be offended if I left your country out.

Many come for the free things in life: free education, health care, unemployment and social benefits. They are free because others pay for it, that is the people already living there. The idea of allowing people to enter a country and automatically get something for nothing is ludicrous. It means immigrants cost more than they contribute. It is obvious when looking at the third world masses entering the west, that most are poorly educated, low in skills, often in worse health than westerners. Their future in the west is not good, they are more likely to be unemployed than locals, more likely to make demands on the healthcare system.

If you've ever ventured out into the suburbs of New York City, you will see the results of mass immigration - whole areas occupied by people who don't look like you, speaking languages other than English. Shops have signs in Spanish and the other languages of newcomers. It is obvious that so many new residents stay in communities where they feel secure. The result is that whole areas of cities become immigrant communities. See how Washington Heights, the Bronx, many parts of Brooklyn and Queens are now dominated by newcomers. The older residents whether white or black, are gradually forced out. Shops and bars close, and become less inviting as they race to the bottom to cater for less affluent consumers. Neighborhoods that were working class or middle class, become ghettos. Schools become battlegrounds for racial gangs. Crime goes up. Drugs are sold on street corners. This is no longer the America you grew up in.

This brings us to the bombings in London. All this being nice to Muslims, treating them with respect, making concessions to their religion and culture, allowing them to stay in a peaceful, safe country, to become a large part of the population of many cities. What exactly did it bring the people of Britain? Fifty odd dead people, killed in the worst ever terrorist attack in British history. Killed by people who were supposed to be the same as us? We have imported people who want to kill us, who despise our culture, our freedoms, people who have little intention of acting as citizens of the countries they live in.

The ingratitude is amazing. They blame us! It is our fault that they live in ghettos, it is our fault if they can't find work. Then, they are no long one of us by saying that events halfway across the world justify the bombings, all of a sudden there is Islamic solidarity with their kin in Iraq, or the Palestine, or Afghanistan. No they are Muslims, not Britons, not Americans, and if we oppose their views, we will die.

Let us hope more people wake up to the lies of the liberals. Look at what they have done to our countries. Let us reverse the madness.

More Muslim Murders

Another suicide bombing from those peace-loving Muslims. This time it's in Israel, where another Palestinian decided to take out three Israelis along with his own miserable life. The teenager detonated the bomb outside a mall in Netanya murdering the yet unidentified women, and injuring nearly 30 others.

It is believed that the attack was made by Islamic Jihad, who were supposed to be observing an Israeli-Palestinian ceasefire.

It looks like that Muslims seem to enjoy killing innocents. Certainly Israel cannot live in peace with the Palestinians if their attitude is kill all the Jews you can. Dealing with terrorist organizations is always dangerous. How can you trust people that do not obey the rules of a civilized world?

My feeling is that Islam cannot be treated as a religion equal to Christianity and Judaism, until Islam purges itself of militancy. There can be no justification of killing people of other faiths. We are getting this on a regular basis. Islam is fighting a dirty war with the west, in what looks like attempts to intimidate our governments into making whatever concessions they ask.

How many innocents have to die before we wake up to Islam? At least we could stop the Saudis funding mosques to spread their odious version of Islam. Expel imams who preach violence.
At least make some effort.

The Enemy Within

News from London is that the 4 bombers were British born young men of Pakistani origin, from Leeds in the north of England. According to the Daily Telegraph, it is thought that they drove to Luton, a city with a large Pakistani population, where they boarded a train for London, Kings Cross station, where they split up, three taking subway trains, the other a bus.

It is thought that they met with a terrorist cell in Luton. It is possible that the operation was planned in Luton, and that this is where the bombs originated. Explosives were found in a parked car near Luton station. However, explosives were found in one of the houses searched in the West Yorkshire region, so maybe there is a larger cell operating there.

Despite the mis-information given by the authorities, it appears that they were suicide bombers, knowingly or unknowingly. Nor does the operation seem so sophisticated as was claimed. What does seem likely is that Islamic terrorists are well established in England, and that they have connections with Muslim communities in various part of the country.

How otherwise ordinary sons of immigrants would turn to murder in the name of their religion is unclear. It would seem that this could be the first of any number of attacks on soft targets in Britain. No-one knows how elaborate the terrorist network is in Britain, and what links they have with other Islamic terrorists in Western Europe, and the Middle East. It is thought, according to the Times, that al-Qaida recruits Muslims at British universities, looking for impressionable young people that feel outcasts in a Christian society. It is claimed that maybe 3000 British born or British residents have passed through al-Qaida's training camps. It is calculated that 1% of British Muslims, approximately 16000 people, are potentially terrorists. or active sympathizers. That is a massive problem for the security services.

A further concern is the links immigrants have to their home countries, especially Pakistan. It is common for parents to send their children back home for educational and religious purposes. Pakistan is a hotbed of Islamic activity, and it would be extremely easy for young adults to be attracted to radical Islam, whilst away from the influence of their parents. Indeed, British born Pakistanis might feel they have more in common with Islamic militancy, than they do with western culture. It is possible that a generation of Britons feel that they are not full citizens of the country where they were born. Perhaps they wish for Islam to have a stronger influence in the world. Of course, Islam has throughout history expanded through force and violence.

What worries security forces, is that all bombers were unknown to them, so tracing links to known terrorists might be difficult. Little is known (or admitted), about the true scale of Islamic militancy in Britain. It is known that radical Mullahs inflame opinion against the west. Nothing is done to deport people who are potentially encouraging terrorist attacks, in Britain or abroad.

For the Pakistani community, the reality that their people were responsible is hard to take. For the majority of Britons, it has become harder to trust any Pakistani, as any could become the next bomber. These four men, not only killed so many fellow Britons, they have set race relations back many years.

There will be many saying that non-white immigrants will never be British, whether they are born in Britain or not. Van Gogh Trial

Due to all the attention given to the London bombings, another piece of Islamic terrorism is largely unnoticed: the trial of filmmaker, Theo Van Gogh murderer, Mohammed Bouyeri, in the Netherlands.

Bouyeri is not only accused of murdering Van Gogh, but of the attempted murder of innocent bystanders, and of the police officers attempting to arrest him. In his trial, Bouyeri offered no defense, and forbade his lawyers to defend him.

I wrote an article last week in reaction to fears of retribution fro Muslims in Britain. Mark Steyn in London's Daily Telegraph, enlarges on the same idea. He puts it a lot better than I did, as you would expect from a pro.

What Steyn says it every time there is some "hate crime" committed against white society, the minority involved goes on the offensive, complaining about possible revenge attacks, that have yet to occur. It's as if it's all our fault for being white, Christian, capitalists etc.

Steyn has an interesting reply to those who put out the story that only a small percentage of Muslims support terrorism. He asks what percentage? .02%?, 2%?, 20%? The point being that nobody knows how many Muslims are militant, and that nobody should be speaking as if they know the answer.

The whole point with Islamic terrorism, is that it is encouraged by many Muslims, tolerated by many more. Islamic society does nothing to rein in their black sheep. Looking at the attacks in NYC, London, Bali & East Africa, we have to realize that there are real links between the Islamic faith and terrorism. It is an international problem.

Not only do few Islamic leaders condemn the bombings, without conditions attached, but many of our leaders are in denial about the problems that Islam brings to western civilization. We have a large population of Muslims, that do not believe in our civilization, in our laws, in our culture. They try and practice their way of life here, when it often breaks our laws, and offends our senses. They are the newcomers, we are the hosts. We chose the way society is to behave, we are the majority. If Muslims can't cope with that, if their way of life is so important, then they should stay at home. We don't want to change. We've moved on from that a long while ago.

US Airmen Banned From Visiting London

According to London's Daily Telegraph, US airmen based in the East of England, have been told to stay out of London, due to last week's bomb attacks.

The directive from local USAF commanders, bans US servicemen from entering the M25 area. The M25 is the orbital highway around London. (When built, it was claimed to be the largest parking lot in Europe, due to the gridlock). Families of servicemen are also advised to stay away from London.

I understand that the safety of Americans based in England is important, but doesn't it make us look like cowards? Especially to a country that sticks with the US, through thick and thin.

There are already a lot of Brits who oppose their country's role in the Iraq war, this order helps them, helps our enemies, but not our allies.

Americans were based in Britain during the war, when there were a lot more bombs exploding. Avoiding London was not considered then, nor should it be now.

Hillary Makes 'em Mad!

Hillary Clinton, the so-called Senator for New York is in the news again. This time she is comparing the President to Mad magazine's famous character, Alfred E. Neuman (What me, worry?).

Republicans are offended that Hillary is insulting the President as part of her campaign to run for President in 2008. You know, the Presidential bid she is denying she is going to make.

What has shocked Republicans is that she ever read Mad magazine, and the fact that she has a sense of humor, apart from her failed healthcare plan. Of course, Hillary was also part of the NY delegation that didn't bring home the Olympic Games.

Speaking in Colorado, which is a long way from New York, Clinton savaged Bush's policies: tax cuts, Iraq etc. Correct me but aren't these the same policies Kerry used to such great success?

Let us hope the Republicans put up a decent candidate against her next year, as Hillary runs for re-election to the Senate. Lazio was such a weakling, and was easily defeated - Rudy, why did you give up on this?

Comedy - Mencia Style

Comedy Central has a comedy show called "The Mind of Mencia". The cable channel describes Mencia's show "as taking no prisoners", and "He's speaking his mind. We're hiring extra lawyers". Mencia is quite funny, in a coarse sort of way. He mercilessly lampoons anything he wants, especially racial issues. In fact he seems proud to be called a racist. He says things other comedians don't, and what a lot of people like to hear. He kicks sacred cows into touch.

However, Carlos Mencia isn't your normal comedian, as he is Hispanic, I assume of Mexican descent. Isn't it strange that you never see white comedians handling the same issues? Are they banned from doing so? Or scared of the repercussions? Watch Carlos Mencia, if you don't mind being offended with his brand of humor. It is certainly different from most PC comedy.

It just seems unfair that whites are the only ones that are "banned" from racist humor. If we have to respect other races/religions, then the rule should apply across the board.

Police Brutality

Usually we see plenty of pictures depicting brutality by the police against"innocent" civilians. Now courtesy of Indymedia, we see a picture of a brutality against a police officer, innocently doing his job.

At an anti-G8 protest in San Francisco, protesters attacked the police car this officer was in. As the officer attempted to arrest suspects, he was surrounded by a crowd who beat him up. The officer, who hasn't been named as yet, is in hospital with serious injuries.

Indymedia is gloating on this savage attack on a law enforcement officer. Let us remember, all societies have some sort of law (even Somalia). Laws are enforced. In America, most cops are pretty decent, and are accountable to society. Whatever Marxist madness the folks at Indymedia would impose on us, we can be sure that protests would be banned, their laws will be enforced by any means (like in Cuba), and their jack-booted police will be unaccountable.

My thoughts are with this poor officer, and with all our police officers nationwide, that put their lives on the line every day. Obviously with little thanks from some people.

Replacing Justice O'Connor

Some think that President Reagan made a big mistake appointing Sandra Day O'Connor. Looking at the gushing praise some Democrats have heaped upon her, that could be true. If the Democrats like her, we must be doing something wrong!

If the GOP still is a conservative party, then it needs to appoint conservative judges to the US Supreme Court. It controls both houses and has the president, this should not be a wasted opportunity. It is time to reverse the follies of liberalism, in particularly of liberal judges who have decided to re-write the constitution. We need to restore common sense to the law on issues such as religion, immigration and abortion. We need judges in tune with the people, not in tune with Howard Dean, John Kerry and Ted Kennedy.

What we do not need is an affirmative action judge like Alberto Gonzales. Being a good buddy of the President is not sufficient. Nor is being Hispanic, at a time when the GOP is wooing the Hispanic community. Gonzales' rise to power is due to his long standing friendship and commercial relationship with George W. Bush. Gonzales has been Bush's personal lawyer, and now is Attorney General, more nepotism than ability.

Gonzales does not have an impressive record as a judge with the Texas Supreme Court, and is thought to be soft on many conservative core values like abortion. Indeed he seems to favor the same sort of affirmative action that has got him where he is.

A further issue with Gonzales is that of recusal. This is apparently the conflict of interest between his current role as AG, and his future role as a Supreme Court Judge. In some important cases, Gonzales would by law, have to withdraw or "recuse" himself from the trial. This aspect is dealt with fuller on Michelle Malkin's blog.

Reactions to the bombings

The Daily Telegraph has an interesting article about how Britain is a sanctuary for terrorists. It seems that Britain has been too lax in allowing "political" refugees to stay in Britain, other countries have protested to the British government at their failure to deport wanted criminals back to their home countries.

Reading articles from Robin Cooke (a former British Government Minister), and Tariq Ali (the Marxist rabble rouser whose glory belongs in the mid sixties), that the bombings are all our fault. We've been so beastly to Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq, (and don't forget Israel), that it's no wonder radical Muslims from other Muslim countries want to kill us.

After several Islamic terrorist attacks on the west, we struck back at Al-Qaida, who were operating from Taliban run Afghanistan. Don't forget the Taliban had seized power by force of gun, and were taking their country back to the stone age. When the Taliban refused to kick out Al-Qaida, we took them both out in one go. Our aim in Afghanistan is to allow a free society to grow, not oppress the Afghans.

In Iraq, we deposed a brutal dictator, who enjoyed killing his opponents, and committed genocide against the Kurdish minority. Kurds are Muslims too. Our aim is similar, to allow a free society to grow. We are not anti-Muslim. Most of the Muslims being killed, are killed by Muslims. Fact.
Some of it is rivalry between the two sects of Islam there, the Sunnis and the Shia.

We are doing our best (perhaps we should be trying harder), to protect the innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. What we get in return is a bunch of Islamic bigots who want to kill us for overthrowing despotic regimes. The people so upset aren't even citizens of these countries. Often these barbarians are refugees in the west. They have fled from their own countries because of terrorist activities at home.

Isn't it strange that we give asylum to people who intend to harm us? We give them freedom, and they take away ours, like they did in London, yesterday.

The day after...

London appears to be recovering from the terrorist attack that occurred Thursday. More than 50 people died, the exact number is unknown, due to the difficulty in recovering bodies from the Underground trains. The number of fatalities on the double decker bus is now believed to be 13. (Pictured above, from BBC news website)

There is still confusion about the attacks. It is not clear yet whether the explosions were set off by timers or suicide bombers. It seems clear that the pattern of the attacks is typical al-Qaida. Police believe that Islamic terrorist cells are operating in England. It is believed that many of the terrorists might be of Moroccan origin.

It is mainland Britain's worst terrorist attack, with more than 700 injured, some seriously. The bombs detonated during the morning commute. Police are denying that some bombs did not explode and were recovered by investigators. They are also denying that timers were recovered from the scene. The Guardian claims that sources have told them that the opposite is true.

Hoteliers have been accused of profiteering by increasing hotel prices yesterday. Stranded businessmen and commuters found prices at some hotels had more than doubled.

Some people say that the atrocities were caused by the "anger" of the Muslim world. Yesterday that anger killed and injured many innocent, defenseless people. Yet, our angry response will not be to target innocent Muslims. We will track down these cowardly killers and bring them to justice. We will not surrender.

As a final thought, these killers are cowards. There is no bravery in killing innocent civilians, when the only risk to yourself is being blown up by your own bomb. Most British cops don't carry guns, nor is there capital punishment. The terrorist is unlikely to die a violent death, unlike his victims.

Muslims Urged To Stay Indoors

After today's atrocity in London, England, The Guardian has an interesting article on Muslim fears of reprisals.

Quoting the Chairman of the Islamic Human Rights Commission, Massoud Shadjareh, "... we appeal that there should be no further victims as a result of reprisals". Leaving out the fact that "Islamic" and "Human Rights" are seldom found in the same sentence, does Mr. Shadjareh really expect any British Muslims to die as the result of retaliation? At the time of writing, 37 people have died, probably as a result of Islamic militants. It is highly unlikely than any Muslim in Britain will be killed in retaliation. Some people might get attacked, as frustration at an invasion of Muslim peoples is converted into violence. I would condemn revenge attacks without reservation.

Muslims have not always condemned violence against non-Muslims, many celebrate it as part of an religious war against the west. An example of this is Muslim cleric, Abu Qatada, who is based in London. He is believed by the security forces to be the leading Islamic fundamentalist in England, and to be an "inspiration" to terrorists. Many British based Muslims will have probably assisted the terrorists in some way, willingly or unwillingly. As in France, many Muslims are downright hostile to their host countries. Remember, this was a well planned attack. It is reckoned that the 4 bombs would require about 16 terrorists to plot and plant the devices. There are obviously some Islamic terror cells hiding in Islamic communities in England, for such a well planned attack to occur. What will be interesting is how much co-operation the Police get from the Islamic community.

What we have here is an attack on our civilization by people whose common link is Islam. They are probably not all from country. I doubt though that they are Iraqis. British politician George Galloway claims this is payback for British involvement in Iraq. Perhaps, but if no Iraqis were involved then this is strange reaction for people not connected to the issue. More likely, radical Islamicists are putting their opposition to western involvement in the Islamic world, into violence, death and destruction.

Perhaps, if Muslims are so opposed to non-Muslims being in their countries, that they turn to murder, then they should consider the option of all Muslims leaving non-Muslim countries. Remember, today at least 37 of our people, innocent civilians, died, and every day Islamic insurgents kill innocent Iraqis. Hardly a religion, let alone one of peace.

London Bombing

Well I suppose there is little that I can add to what has already been written. I would just like to offer my sincere condolences to the families of those who died in this cowardly attack. For those injured, I wish you all a rapid recovery.

Let us hope that we catch the savages in our midst, that plotted this outrage, and probably plotting more.

Tolerance is a virtue, it shouldn't be wasted on Islamic extremists.

The Kyoto Treaty

I'm not an ecologist, but the Kyoto agreement has always appeared to be an economic attack on the United States, rather than any real environmental benefit. Ecologists cannot agree that there is global warming, let alone prove what causes it.

Developing nations such as China and India are excluded from the treaty. That makes sense. China which is the world's second largest polluter isn't expected to do anything. Nor is anything done about the vast ecological damage that China is doing by damming rivers.

Apparently a lot of the requirements of Kyoto will have little impact, but cost a lot to implement. Again that makes sense.

Such sensible treaties keep being signed by our politicians, but who pays for it? Us, the taxpayer. Was there ever a time when taxpayers got value for money?

Hate Crime in Westchester County, NY

New York has another "hate crime" to consider. This time a white woman, 56 year old Concetta Russo-Carriero was the victim, murdered because she had blond hair. She was stabbed to death in a parking garage next to a popular Mall, in White Plains, NY. The murder suspect, Phillip Grant, a homeless black man, confessed to police that "the first person I see in this mall that looks white, I'm killing". The police stated that "Grant had no remorse, and was hoping to kill even more people." It turns out Grant was a convicted rapist, that has led to local politicians calling for the "indefinite detainment of violent sexual predators".

Al Sharpton doesn't appear to have ventured out to White Plains, like he did to Queens. Perhaps it is because the Subway doesn't reach that far? Maybe Al doesn't use public transport these days?

The point being, in one racial attack we have protests that put the blame on the local white community. In the other attack, we have no politician stirring up unrest. More interestingly, no-one suggests that Mr. Grant is typical of the black race. No-one suggests that blacks should learn to live peacefully with other races.

Can anyone tell me why two violent, inter-racial crimes are handled so differently?

Hate Crime in Queens, NY

I hate this idea of "hate crimes". As somebody once said, are all other crimes "love" crimes?

Wednesday's beating of a black guy in the Queens suburb of Howard Beach, by one or more white guys, brings this into focus. Nicholas Minucci is alleged to have attacked Glenn Moore with a baseball bat. Mr. Moore is in hospital with a fractured skull, as a result of this incident. Minucci is alleged to have attacked Moore, because the latter is black. Moore, who does not live in this locality, was there, with friends, very early in the morning. Their intention it is said, was to steal a car, from this predominantly white neighborhood.

This raises two questions. One, would Minucci being facing lesser charges if he had violently attacked a white guy he didn't like the look of? Two, if Moore & Co. Had stolen a white-owned vehicle, would this also be a hate crime? They knew this was a white neighborhood, and that the likelihood that whatever car they took would belong to a white.

As for Mr. Minucci, if he did the crime he is accused of, then he is a violent thug, that deserves to be locked away for a long time. It is not Minucci's first brush with the law. Four years ago he attacked a Sikh, mistaking him for an Arab. Mrs. Minucci's little boy isn't that bright.

An interesting aspect of this case, is that Minucci drives a Cadillac Escallade, wears tons of gold jewelry, and listens to hip-hop. So it seems he tries to look like the rappers he listens to. If he likes black ghetto culture, doesn't it seem odd that Minucci hates blacks?

Apart from the nastiness of the crime, I am revolted by the comments of New York's Mayor Bloomberg, and Police Commissioner Kelly. This un-dymanic duo like to get their 5c worth of attention. Both seem to be acting as judge and jury, making statements of fact, when neither have spoken to the people involved. Let the justice system do it's job guys. Let there be proper investigation, let there be a fair trial, where the truth comes out, and where, hopefully, justice prevails.

An interesting story from Toledo, Ohio, as reported in the Toledo Blade.

Apparently, one day, Karyn McConnell Hancock parked her car in a "tow-away" zone. When the poor dear came out of the Toledo Municipal Court, she found the police were about to tow her car away (maybe that's why it is called a tow-away zone?) Well, Karyn, bless her, did what we all would do. She promptly identified herself as a Toledo Council Member. Not just an ordinary Council Member. Dear Karyn is the Chairman of the Criminal Justice Committee.

She persuaded that awful traffic cop to get hold of Toledo Police Chief, Mike Navarre. Chief Navarre, being such a gentleman, as he would be to any damsel in distress, ordered to car to be moved nearby, but not to the police pound. Karyn was however, issued with a $25 parking ticket.

Lawyer/Council Member McConnell Hancock, was not ticketed for driving with an expired driver's licence, nor was she ticketed for having expired licence plates. Well, not until the details became public.

So we have a lawyer, who parks illegally, with an expired driver's licence, and out of date plates. Is she incredibly dumb in not understanding the law, or is she just incredibly arrogant?

Sink Newsday!

Journalistic standards at Long Island's Newsday have plummeted again. This local newspaper has printed a disgusting attack on President Bush's family, namely his two daughters, suggesting that they should fight in Iraq.

I am no friend of Bush, and just because Kerry is a jerk, didn't make Bush the best candidate for president. I am offended, that a newspaper would have no respect for the privacy of his daughters. Maybe we should attack the families of Newsdays so-called journalists? Point them towards the suicide bombers in Iraq, and then let us see so many pro-terrorist news stories.

The article doesn't seem to have an author mentioned, perhaps Newsday is too cowardly to own up.

Remember, the US military is a volunteer force, nobody is forced to join. If you join in peacetime, don't complain to me about having to go to war. That's what the military is for. When a war comes along, you go to fight. You might die for your country, but that is what you are paid for. In peacetime you get paid for doing very little. If you take the pay, you take the orders.

I have no sympathy for whining hispanics who complain about the death of their sons and daughters, they were in the military, fools! If you wanted them to be safe, then you should have kept them away from the recruiting office.

I have every sympathy for the friends and families of true Americans who lose a loved one in war. But that is a risk people take by enlisting, those who die serving our nation deserve to be called heroes.

Suggesting Bush's daughters should go to Iraq (presumably to be killed), does not advance the argument against the Iraq war. It just shows how our soldiers put their lives on the line for cowardly journalists.

Trusting Allies & Enemies

An article in Britain's Daily Telegraph caught my attention. Apparently we are developing a joint fighter (the F-35 Joint Striker Program), with our ally, Great Britain. You, the country that sticks by us, through thick and thin, and has done more than any other ally to assist us in Iraq. By the way, deviating from the topic, why do we call Mexico an ally?

Back to the subject, the JSP is being developed by nine partner nations, the US, being the lead nation. However, Britain is considering withdrawing, because we won't share the software technology for the plane. At stake is the ability to maintain and develop the aircraft, independently of American corporations. A lot of money in servicing the planes is at stake, together with the ability of British defence companies to be more than just "metal-bashers". The plane is intended to replace ageing Harrier jump-jets, amongst others. Interestingly, the Harrier is an example of how British technology was shared with the US.

Contrast this with how we treat the Peoples Republic of China. A communist dictatorship that aggressively begs, borrows and steals technology from the US. Compare how American corporations are eager to share technolgy with the commies. Microsoft amongst others, has no qualms about exporting software technology. The result is that China is modernising rapidly, and is becoming a military and economic rival.

Perhaps we should help our friends, not our enemies?

The Supreme Court & The Living Constitution

The United States Constitution is an amazing document, written so long ago, but far-sighted in its ideals. However, as a "living" constitution it is at the mercy of every generation that tries to reinvent it to suit current events. Recent Supreme Court Justices have had a remarkable ability to interpret the Constitution, not only in ways the founding fathers would not recognize, but often in total opposition to the original meaning.

From Roe v. Wade to the Ten Commandmants, our judges put themselves above the law, and push a political agenda that is of their own creation. Their views are not supported by the people of this great nation, not that people's opinion matters.

We have unelected, unaccountable judges, creating inconsistant laws that harm the whole set-up of government. We see a narrow minority of judicial opinion, mock commonsense and legal precendence, in a rush to justify their goals.

It is time, Ladies & Gentlemen, for our elected politicians to play their part in the Constitution. They need to pass legislation to overturn these unwanted decisions, so that we are ruled by our elected representatives once more.

The Catholic Church & Illegal Aliens

It is surprising to see the involvement of Catholic priests in the eviction of illegal aliens from an illegal boarding house in occupied Farmingdale, NY. I know the church does many good things, but siding with criminals? Does the Good Book encourage crime? I thought respect for the rule of law was fundemental. But then the Catholic church protected the child molesters in its midst.

Perhaps it is time to prosecute the Church for being a criminal organization?

Instead of using accurate terms like "illegal aliens", meaning non-US citizens who are in this country illegally, we get "undocumented immigrants". Well, excuse me, but don't these guys have documents? Like Mexican "Matricula Consular" cards, or very likely, forged Social Security cards, driving permits, and green cards. So a non-citizen, here illegally, using illegal documents, working illegal, breaking whatever laws he feels like, is called something cuter. Like renaming a 5 year old Kia, aBMW, just because your neighbors laugh at you. Trust me, they are not the same.

Another gem, was the New York Times referring to a part of Camden, NJ as a"vibrant, multicultural community". Let me guess, it's really an ethnic ghetto. My impression of Camdem is of a place to avoid, not a place to visit. What do they mean by vibrant? The sound of a drive by shooting? Civilization left there a long time ago.

I'm not suggesting a Orwell-like simplication of the English language as in "1984", just using the words that accurately describe the events.

Coins, Corruption, & Racism

Ohio is currently shocked by a corruption scandal involving the State and its Workmans Compensation Scheme, investing in two flawed schemes.

The first is an investment in rare coins that lost money, run by Toledo coin dealer Tom Noe. Mr Noe apparently is a contributor to the local Republican Partner, and a golfing partner of Governor Daft. Ohio has lost $10 - 12 million from Noe's failed schemes. Additionally, Noe seems to have used Ohio's money to invest in other ventures.

The second briliant investment was in a fund run by Pittsburgh based investment company, MDL Capital Management. $215 million seems to have been lost. The interesting thing about MDL, is that it is a minority owned business, with links to Jesse Jackson. Under Jackson's encouragement, MDL was used by companies such as Boeing, Sprint, & Raytheon. While MDL grew rapidly, their clients funds did not, and those corporations mentioned have since severed their connections with MDL.

It is interesting that Jackson, a man not known for his abilities as a Wall Street guru, was able to get corporations, and States to invest in MDL. Of course he recommends them because they are owned by minorities, not from ability. Funny sort of reverse racism. Would Jackson invest in the worst white owned firm he could find?

When will people get wise to this bigot? End racial set asides, because it means that the mediocre get rewarded, not those who deserve it. Anyway it could cost you money.

Michelle Malkin has an excellent piece on David Stacey's new show "30 Days", which has a whitewashed view of Islam, for one of its episodes. You guessed it, we are the bad guys and Muslims are the victims.

Stacey's show is made by the same crew behind mad Michael Moores's "The Naked Truth", well that's a surprise.

Apparently, Stacey isn't exactly an expert on Islam. Maybe he should stick to Big Macs.

Banks & Call Centers

British police are investigating security breaches at the Indian call centers of several British banks, after a Sun newspaper reporter apparently bribed an Indian call center worker to get account information. (Guardian link)

If true, it could be the same for American banks who have sold their American workers down the river. I mean outsourced to India. With recent security breaches at American banks and credit card processors, can they assure us that India is actually safer?

When we open bank accounts and credit cards, we assume that the banks take care of the information they take from us. Obviously not.

Did we ask to speak to people with bad accents, that we struggle to understand, and they us? No.

So security and service are something banks don't believe in, when profits come before people. Maybe nothing new, but it's a shame when we are getting shafted by Indians as well.

More Bad News For Shipwrecks

Breaking news... the Supreme Court voted 5-4 today ruling that local governments may seize peoples homes and businesses for private development, against the will of it's owners.

Eminent domain is normally a process where the local authorities can seize private property in the public interest, for example, to build roads. Todays verdict means that property can be taken to build hotels, malls, or whatever wealthy property developers desire, so long as it increases tax revenue.

Property developers have long viewed the shoebox, from which Shipwrecks is written, as a prime site for the development of housing for migrant workers. The leader of the New Columbus Demolition Corp., Mr. Wrecking Ball, said "We are are pleased with this decision, as now we can demolish anything we like, and all we need do is corrupt a few local politicians. Besides, you'll want to leave when we start demolishing you neighbor's house." When asked about the 5th amendment, Mr. Ball, replied that an 18th century document didn't apply to 21st century demands, or shoeboxes. The judges were, in his opinion, in tune with the needs of property developers.

Shipwrecks is determined that this shoebox should not be demolished, and denounced the judges for disregarding the constitution. How can we hold them in contempt when they do this? People will be wanting to revolt over this.

The bid by Chinese National Blog (CHINBLOG), is believed to be the first attempt at taking over a hugely unknown American blog. Market anal-lysts believe it could be a new trend in corporate take-overs, as China flexes it's financial muscles on an international stage.

CHINBLOG is believed to be targeting Shipwrecks before it can publish articles that criticize the oppressive communist regime in China.

Am I the only one who feels that the trial of Edgar Ray Killen, was not exactly just?I know the families of the three civil rights workers deserve justice, but not this way.

Do they think it is a victory to put a feeble 80 year old in prison? Or that it took 41 years to get a prosecution to stick? Or that evidence from witnesses who have since died was allowed? (Remember the 6th amendment to the constitution). Or that it was more of a persecution than a prosecution.

It seems there was immense pressure on the jury to reach a guilty verdict, to prove that Mississippi was no longer the racist state it was four decades ago. An aquittal would have done the opposite. So truth and justice were not so important, than trying to right wrongs.

I presume Killen is the racist thug that he is made out to be, and that he should have been found guilty so long ago, but I don't think there was the intention to give him a fair trial, more a legal lynching.

the NY Times has a better, more detailed report on the housing raid in Long Island. (This shows how Newsday sucks)

Basic details: One 900 sq. ft. home. Illegally converted to a rooming house. Jammed with 44 beds, housing up to 64 people. The owner, Rosalina Dias (a Latina), charged $225-$250 per month for a bunk in the house. Officials are investing another 117 houses in the area. Apparently the residents were not actually evicted, but the house was shut down.

The conditions inside were disgusting, unfit for humans to live in.

People wake up! These illegals are turning America into a third world slum. How do we really benefit from this?

Uphold the law. No amnesty. No illegals.

Another article from Long Island's looney left Newsday regarding illegals.

Suffolk County Police evicted "dozens" of Latinos from a house on Long Island. As most of the people were out at work, or were looking for work, it was their possessions that were "evicted". Most of the occupants were apparently Mexican, and probably illegal. The author, Bart Jones does not have the guts to admit this. Dozens in one building? Sounds like illegal overcrowding.

Lets look at what we have:
Entering the country illegally.
Working or trying to work, illegally.
Occupying a building contrary to the housing code.
Probable use of fake documents - SSN & Green Cards
Failure to pay Federal & State taxes
Driving without insurance or drivers permits ( or using fake id to obtain one)
Etc., etc.

How may more of our laws need to be broken until the oafs at the MSM wake up. We are the victims. We are invaded by a mass of people who will not obey our laws, will not speak English, and then complain like hell when they are caught.

This is America. Obey the laws that the rest of us have to.

No amnesty. No illegals.

Immigration lunacy in Britain

James Slack of the Daily Mail reports on the new test migrants must pass to obtain British citizenship. Apparently they must know how to get benefits, but they need not know anything about British history - because there is so much of it. The test is designed to assist migrants assimilate into British society, and was supposed to test a general knowledge of history and culture.

It would appear that Britain's civil servants watered down the requirements. How surprising.
So what purpose do immigrants serve if they are claiming benefits that British taxpayers pay for?

Is this a confirmation that most (not all) immigrants arrive for the welfare state, rather than wanting to work? Free schools, free healthcare, unemployment benefits, etc. all paid for by others.

When will the British (and Americans) realize that we don't owe the world a living. What we have is what we have built up, through hard work and ingenuity. Someone once said, half the people are prepared to work, and the other half are prepared to let them. It looks like the other half are flooding into our countries.

Mark Memmot in USA Today has a interesting perspective on missing people such as Natalee Holloway, who has disappeared on the island of Aruba. The ones reported in the media are all white. Doesn't it seem odd, that the same lefty media that won't say a word against minorities, won't report on the disappearance of people who aren't white? How racist can you get?

My heart goes out to the family of Tamika Huston, 24, who lived in Spartenburg, S.C. Whilst the local police and news media have done their best to help find her, the national media haven't. It's amazing the double standards the MSM have. Read their pathetic excuses. Remember, if you aren't white, and want help from the liberal press, don't bother to ask, as a refusal might offend you.

Newsday, the Long Island, NY, newspaper that tries to be a New York City newspaper, has an interesting tale of a poor Honduran immigrant that has squeezed 4 children as well as herself into a one bedroom apartment in the Bronx.

The woman, Ana Ruiz, who came to the country in 1993, has four children, ages 1, 5, 13 and 15. The two oldest children have recently been permitted into the country from Honduras to be with her. The two youngest were born here. No mention of any partner(s). What type of mother would abandon two kids to friends or family, so that she could be in America? Answer: an Hispanic mother.

As with lefty Newsday, I doubt that we are told all the facts, like why she came to the US without her "loved ones", nor why aliens should be put in subsidized public housing.

The story is about poor Ana's demand for a bigger apartment, and the cruel Housing Authority's refusal to oblige. The fact is she is illegally overcrowding the apartment. She also appears to have brought extra residents into the apartment, without the consent of her landlord. Gone are the days when housing laws were actually enforced, especially when immigrants are involved.

What future do we have in America, where the new immigrants are poor, uneducated, unskilled and lacking in respect for the laws or culture of the USA? They obviously are unlikely to progress in society. We are importing a massive underclass of people who have no gratitude. It is perpetuating poverty, not eliminating it. Putting strains on society rather than strengthing it. Turning America into another version of the slum countries they escaped from does not help the rest of us, especially when people don't recognize large areas of their cities as being part of the country they grew up in.

African children sent to UK as sacrifices

According to the London newspaper, The Independent, African children are being sent to Britain for the purpose of human sacrifices. The report mentions that children are being used in witchcraft ceromonies, as well as being used as "domestic and sex slaves". And we thought Michael Jackson was bad.

Now for the stomach curdling bit.... they are being used by men with HIV, "who believe if they have sex with a child, they will be cleansed"

Now why are these African savages let into Britain ( and possibly America)?? I use the word savages, because it appears that they are from being civilized. How do these "people" benefit the West? Our multi-cultural immigration policies are coming home to roost, with the behaviour of such backward cultures.
